Robert Ballard

Robert Ballard
Robert Ballard is a underwater explorer. I think he has a really cool job. He discovered the Titanic! Pretty cool, huh?
Robert Ballard was born in San Diego, California on June 15, 1942. His mom was German and his dad was British. He became interested in the ocean when he read the book 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He had many different jobs when he grew up. He was in the military, a tv show technical consultant, and of course, a underwater explorer.
He discovered the R.M.S Titanic in the summer of 1985. He gave people a chance to see how things were done and constructed back then. It was the most amazing discovery ever!
A good quality he has is he seems well educated. He is now a professor at a college. One more good quality he has is he is a good swimmer. You can't be a bad swimmer and discover the Titanic. Aren't I right?
Plus I have a really cool fun fact. Robert Ballard didn't only discover the Titanic. He also discovered almost 100 different ship wrecks in the Great Lakes! These are all the reasons I picked Robert Ballard.
