Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. He was born in Atlanta Georgia.
Martin Luther King Jr, was black. In his time, blacks and whites were separated. Blacks were not treated as fairly as whites were. He didn't like that. He wanted to be treated fairly.
So Martin did a speech about how color doesn't matter. A lot of whites didn't like that idea. They would say boo and spit on him. He didn't care. He wanted to make a difference. A lot of people loved his idea. Soon it was changed.
More and more people thought it was a good idea. Soon he changed the world. All the blacks were treated fairly. Now the blacks can use the same drinking fountains and go to the same school. The whites used to get all the nicer things. They got perfect drinking fountains. The blacks got rusty fountains. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the way that was.
He got killed on April 4, 1968. Someone shot him. He was shot in his right cheek. It traveled around his whole body. He fell unconscious. His room mate heard gun shots and and found him there. They rushed him to the hospital but when the doctors tried to get him to wake up, he never did.
Martin Luther King changes the world in a good way that helps everyone.
