Science Rules!!!!! by: cool dude
Is Science your favorite subject in school? What is your favorite topic in science? I was asked to talk about rocks, weather, and animal classification.
The first thing I want to talk about are rocks. Rocks are made of cement, minerals, and earth.
Some types of rocks are Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic rock.
Igneous rocks (from the Greek word for fire) form from when hot, molten rock (magma) crystallizes and solidifies. The melt originates deep within the Earth near active plate boundaries or hot spots, then rises toward the surface. Igneous rocks are divided into two groups, intrusive or extrusive, depending upon where the molten rock solidifies.
Sedimentary rocks are formed from pre existing rocks or pieces of once living organisms. They form deposits that accumulate on the Earth’s surface. Sedimentary rocks often have districting layering.
Metamorphic rocks started out as some other type of rock, but have been substantially changed from their original igneous, sedimentary, or earlier metamorphic form. Metamorphic rocks form when rocks are subjected to high heat, high pressure, hot, mineral-rich fluids or, more commonly, some combination of these factors. Conditions like these are found deep within the Earth or where tectonic plates meet.
Second, I want to talk about cloud types. Cirrus, stratus and cumulus are the cloud types.
Cirrus clouds are the most common of the High cloud(5000-13000m) group. They are composed entirely of ice and consist of long, thin, wispy streamers. They are commonly known as "mare's tails" because of their appearance.
Stratus clouds belong to the low cloud group. they look like fog or mist.
Cumulus clouds bring rain, hail, and snow. they sometimes bring bad weather.
Last, I want to talk about animal bytes. In this topic, I will talk about mammals, Birds, reptiles, and amphibians.
Some mammals have hair or fur. Mammals are warm blooded. Some mammals walk on four legs.
There are 8,000 species of birds. Birds have feathers, and go south for winter. they have beaks to spear threw fish and worms.
Reptiles have been here for years!!! Reptiles lay eggs and are cold blooded. Most of them are piousness and most of them are meat eaters.
Amphibians lay their eggs in water, and resemble small fish called tadpoles.
Thanks for reading about science.
